S-3 Group is seeking qualified candidates to join the research and policy operation of our full-service government relations and public affairs team.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide timely coverage, readouts, and analysis of Executive Branch events and developments, with a focus on select policy and industry impacts.
- Conduct ongoing policy and media monitoring and technical research of relevant policymaking efforts across Congress and federal agencies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of government relations client requests, including coverage of congressional hearings, markups, and other legislative developments.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of public policy, campaign, communications/media, government, corporate/trade association, consulting, or similarly relevant experience.
- Demonstrated familiarity with policymaking processes and media monitoring.
- Ability to quickly analyze information from multiple sources and interpret political implications.
- Organizational and time management skills, including ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and balance multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Polished writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
